Dear friends of IMPACTED, Inc.,
Please accept our sincere thanks in your efforts to support the 1st Annual IMPACTED, Inc. Dinner Dance Gala held this past March 8, 2019 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Southpointe. The event was a huge success and we are able, with your help, to spread concussion awareness, prevention, and support to our community.
In February of this year, we held a PSA (public service announcement) video competition open to all Washington County school districts. The video was to contain our mission statement and share education about concussions. After submissions were received, Washington School District was determined as the winner. Their video can be seen on our webpage www.impactedinc.org and for their valiant efforts to help us, they will receive 44 NFL Xenith concussion grade helmets and Vane technology sensored mouth guards for their varsity team and 29 Vane mouth guards for their junior varsity team. We are excited for them and for their future success.
While no equipment can prevent or stop a concussion, some equipment can lessen the severity. It is our hope that while we lessen the severity, we also open an avenue of discussion about concussions and share symptoms and provide ways to overcome the effects of a concussion, which can be devastating and life altering. Your donations, for and or your, attendance at our event will have an effect of youths in our community. We look forward to sharing our successes with you and for your continued support in the future.
In October (date tba), we will host our 1st annual golf outing at Nemocolin Woodlands. More information will follow and we always welcome help and volunteers, please stay tuned. Again, many thanks, for without your help none of this would be possible.
May God bless you and keep you safe,
Pattiann and Tom Berton
